Welcoming our new EMEA leader: Chris Baker

I couldn't be more excited to announce the addition of Chris Baker to Box's executive staff as our new SVP and General Manager for EMEA. Chris joins after nearly four years as Managing Director at SAP Concur, and will lead the EMEA organisation from London. 

This announcement comes in the midst of a period of international growth and investment. In Europe, Box continues to grow with a newly opened European-HQ in London, and expanded regional offices in Munich, Paris, Amsterdam, and Stockholm. Further afield, Box has also recently moved into a new expanded office in Tokyo.

Chris has deep experience building businesses in EMEA, and in his 20+ professional years, he has held various roles at some of the highest-profile software companies in the world including Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Salesforce.com and SAP. 

He joins us from SAP Concur after nearly four years directing alliances, marketing, sales, solution consulting and account management. His high-growth trajectory at Concur was extraordinary; growing the team within the UK, Ireland, France, Africa, Middle East, Nordics and Benelux regions and tripling revenues inside two years. 

Chris holds a degree in Philosophy and Psychology from Keele University and an MSc in Knowledge Based Systems with emphasis in Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex. He also serves as the Chair of  the Board of Trustees for brainstrust, a UK charity dedicated to improving clinical care and support for brain tumour sufferers. In his spare time, Chris enjoys walking the dogs, and kayaking on the River Thames and the north shore of Cornwall.
