Your team's most valuable knowledge doesn't just live in one place.

Unify your organizations knowledge with Box AI, now available in Claude Enterprise Search

A discussion about renewal terms might happen in Slack. A customer's contract gets stored in Box. The latest pricing proposal is in your email. Feature requests are tracked in Jira. When you need to prepare for that quarterly business review or respond to an urgent customer question, you're stuck playing detectiveswitching between tabs, searching multiple tools, and manually piecing together the full picture.

Finding the right file shouldn't feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. That's why we're excited to announce that Box is now available as a connector in Claude Enterprise Search, bringing your critical documents and files directly into Claude's unified knowledge workspace alongside your team's conversations, emails, and more.

Unified search across your tools

Instead of searching tools one by one, your team asks Claude a single question and gets a comprehensive answer — from one place — that pulls from your Box files, team conversations, emails, and more. It’s made possible by the Box MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, which enables Claude to securely access and search your Box content in realtime.

Example queries:

  • "What are the terms of our contract with Acme Corp?" — Claude searches your Box files, plus related email threads and Slack discussions
  • "Summarize all documentation related to our Q4 product launch" — Pulls presentations from Box, meeting notes from Google Drive, and team updates from Slack
  • "What's our company's remote work policy?" — Finds the official policy doc in Box and related HR communications
  • "Find the latest sales materials for our enterprise tier" — Surfaces decks, one-pagers, and case studies from Box, plus pricing discussions from email

How it works

Traditional enterprise search tools create static indexes that become outdated quickly and require complex administration. Box + Claude Enterprise Search offers several advantages over traditional enterprise search:

  • Real-time results — Every search queries live data from Box through the MCP connection
  • No data duplication — Your content stays in Box where it belongs, protected by your existing security policies
  • Conversational — Ask follow-up questions, refine your search, and have Claude explain complex information
  • Context-awareness — Claude understands the relationships between documents in Box, conversations in Slack, and emails

Use cases

Box + Claude Enterprise Search helps teams work more efficiently across common scenarios:

  • Executive briefings: A VP returning from vacation asks: "What happened while I was out?" Claude compiles contract updates from Box, key decisions from Slack channels, and meeting summaries from Google Calendarall in seconds.
  • Customer success preparation: Before a quarterly business review, a CSM asks: "Give me a complete view of the Northwind account." Claude pulls the SOW from Box, recent support tickets from Jira, email exchanges, and Slack conversations about the account.
  • New hire onboarding: A new product manager asks: "How does our pricing model work?" Claude finds strategy docs in Box, relevant Slack discussions, and synthesizes them into a clear explanation with links to source materials.
  • RFP responses: When a security questionnaire arrives, instead of frantically searching for compliance certifications and past responses, you ask: "Find our SOC 2 report and previous answers about data encryption." Claude surfaces documents from Box and related email threads instantly.
