As wildfires continue to rage in southern California, our hearts are with everyone facing the unbelievable destruction across LA. Box and Boxers are responding with generosity and care, and I am so proud of the immediate action the team has taken to make what we know is a small impact on a tragedy of this magnitude.

Box started in California. We have teams in Los Angeles. Making sure our Boxers are safe is always a first priority, and thankfully, so far all of our LA Boxers are accounted for. We know this is not the case for some companies and families.

Boxers are volunteering

Last week I saw colleagues immediately start offering their homes and couches to those evacuating LA. Boxers are using their volunteer time off (3 days of paid time off annually) to help with nonprofit response efforts. Our people care and take action as our GSD (Get $@!* Done) and Make Mom Proud values shine brightly. And for employees directly impacted, Boxers can apply for financial assistance covering immediate evacuation needs through the Box Stands Together fund, our emergency relief fund for employees.

Giving through box.org

Crisis response is one of three main focus areas for Box.org, our social impact team at Box. Box.org engages our people, product and philanthropy in response to crisis needs. Our product, offered with generous discounts and through a donation program to nonprofits, is supporting numerous response efforts, and, as we love going deeper in partnership with our nonprofit customers, our philanthropy is currently funding and fundraising for two impactful organizations. Leading the fundraising effort is our Families at Box employee resource community in support of:

Through Box.org, Box is giving and matching donations to these organizations. In the spirit of community and the positive difference we can make together, we invite you to join us in giving and learn more about each organization here.
