In an ever-changing world, it's more important than ever that you and your teams are enabled to work effectively how, when, and where you want to. We know that users are relying on companies like Box and Cisco to fuel this new way of working, as work is no longer somewhere you go but something that you do. Together, Box and Cisco provide the critical tools that our customers need to get their work done, and we're thrilled to announce several updates to the Box for Webex integration.
Link a Box folder to a Webex space
Today we announced a new enhancement to our Box for Webex integration coming later this year that will make it even easier to collaborate on Box content within Webex. Users will be able to connect a Box folder of their choice to a specific Webex space. Any content shared in the space will be added to the same Box folder.
Use Box as the default content layer that your teams can access for easy content collaboration, directly within Webex. Box's enterprise-grade security and compliance is applied to all Box content, even when it is surfaced in third-party apps like Webex.
At WebexOne 2020, we announced upcoming enhancements to the Box for Webex integration, which are available today.
Cisco Webex will be available as a Recommended App in Box Preview. This new integration allows users to start or schedule a Webex meeting or to share content within a Webex space -- all without leaving Box. The new functionality enables face-to-face communication and easy content sharing in fewer clicks so that teams can work more efficiently.
Webex App Activity
Also available today, Box App Activity delivers a unified view of what's happening with your files across all your apps in Box Preview so any sharing of Box content in Webex will also be reflected in Box App Activity. This empowers users to keep better track of where content is and how it's being shared. No matter where your teams are located, this integration will make it easier than ever to collaborate.
The Box for Cisco Webex integration also offers Box functionality within the Webex app so that users can securely share, preview, and open Box files all within Webex.
The Box Content Cloud gives enterprises one, secure platform for managing the entire content journey. Content is often extended to other platforms where users collaborate. We're excited to deliver these enhancements to the Box for Webex integration, so that your teams can work better together. We are proud to partner with Cisco to continue simplifying teamwork across all our joint customers.
