CIAB FEBRABAN - Information Technology Congress and Exhibition of Financial Institutions

Box initiated its presence at CIAB FEBRABAN 2018 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with an exhibit at the International Pavilion. CIAB FEBRABAN, Latin America's largest and most important Financial Services annual convention, was a resounding success with a record 23,000+ attendees and hundreds of exhibitors. This year, the focus was on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain and IOT, and their implication to social behavior, and how these changes can quickly create or destroy businesses.

Box had Sales and Legal Services executives on site accompanied by our Global Strategic Partner IBM, to discuss how the Box Platform is helping local enterprises, specially those with an international presence, execute their digital workplace and digital business transformation.

Attendees were keen to hear how Box Skills and other offerings utilizing IBM's Watson AI streamline workflows, apply data classification policies and automate internal processes as key components of their strategic innovation initiatives. Joel Benavides, Managing Director for Box Global Legal Services, explained "CIAB was a fantastic opportunity and an ideal forum to discuss how Box's functionality, and industry leading security and compliance certifications, allow our local, highly regulate customers, to efficiently meet sectoral requirements all while streamlining their internal and customer-facing operations."
