Celebrating diversity and innovation at the Women in Tech Summit Poland
In June, Box was proud to be one of the sponsors for the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit in Warsaw, Poland—the largest event for women in technology in Europe and the CIS region, bringing together thousands of professionals, students, and industry leaders from across the world. This prestigious gathering brought together over 10,000 participants, creating an electrifying atmosphere of innovation and collaboration. Our participation underscored Box's ongoing commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in tech while connecting with talented professionals who are shaping the future of our industry.
The highlight of our participation was hosting an engaging workshop during the summit's comprehensive program. Our session, “Code Meets AI: Supercharging Engineers at Box,” perfectly aligned with the summit’s focus on cutting-edge technology trends. Designed for students and beginners in tech, this workshop explored how to effectively use AI and AI-assisted coding in professional settings.
Led by Rodrigo Chiossi, Olga Milczek, and Natsza Nowak, the workshop offered practical insights into:
- Industry adoption of AI
- How Box leverages AI in its workflows
- The importance of developing technical skills for practical AI use
A key feature was a hands-on exercise guiding attendees through a step-by-step workflow used in real-world projects. Participants learned to:
- Use AI to create a Product Requirements Document (PRD) and outline high-level implementation steps
- Develop detailed implementation plans for each PRD step using AI
- Apply AI-assisted coding with the Cursor editor following these plans
- Track progress and build a knowledge base for future development
Throughout the session, best practices and tips for maximizing AI tools were shared. To conclude, Box highlighted its own experience integrating AI into daily work and how it is transforming the workplace culture.
The summit's vibrant networking opportunities allowed our team to connect with talented technologists from across Europe and beyond. At our booth in the expo area, we:
