Box named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape for eSignature Software, 2021
Box has a longstanding history of analyst recognition as a leading content management vendor, but this year, we entered a new market: e-signature. As first-time entrants into this evolving landscape, we couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that Box has been named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide eSignature Software 2021 Vendor Assessment!
According to the IDC MarketScape, “The contribution of eSignature technology to business continuity became glaringly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaps were exposed in organizations without end-to-end digitally transformed business processes — including when agreements were previously manually routed, faxed, scanned, or printed for signature and remote workers had to seek alternative methods to move the process forward with a less than secure digital signature.”1
The demand for e-signature in a distributed world
Over the last 18 months, Box has become a critical business partner for more than 100,000 organizations looking to navigate today’s distributed work environment. We believe our entry into the e-signature market with the launch of Box Sign could not have come at a more critical time.
In February 2021, we acquired SignRequest, a cloud-based electronic signature company, and developed Box Sign on its industry leading technology.
