The All New Box for iPads and iPhones is Here
I'm excited to announce that the new Box app on iOS is available today. The app is completely re-built on our iOS mobile SDKs and has a brand new user experience that makes it easier for you to be productive from anywhere. We've made everyday activities on the go completely seamless - whether you're creating, reviewing or editing content, sharing files, giving feedback or working with other apps, you can do so easily and securely with the new Box experience:
Quick access to important data - When you're working on multiple projects with several teams, it needs to be easy to find what you're looking for. With the new Box app, it's easy to find the content that you most recently worked on, or the files that you access on a regular basis. Simply click 'Recents' or 'Favorites' to find what you need, when you need it. Forget sifting through data - now you can immediately start working on your content from your iPhone or iPad.
Delightful media experience - The new Box experience on iOS lets you see a preview all of the content in a single folder - now, you can see what each image within in a folder looks like before even opening the file. Never download content on your iPad or iPhone - you can preview more than two hundred types of files including JPEGs, TIFs, PNGs and more from your Box app. Plus, soon we'll support preview for 3D images and HD videos.
Easy editing - Sometimes you get your best work done when you're commuting, running from meeting to meeting or chatting with teammates at lunch. If you need to jot down a new idea, you can create a fresh Box Note with just two clicks, no matter where you are. Plus, you can edit Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets right from the app and automatically save all your changes to Box. And, if you know you might not be connected to the internet, you can always mark your content for offline use and access it wherever you are.
No matter what file you're working with, you can decide if you want the content to be shared and how to share it, right from your iOS device. You can control who the file is shared with and then copy and send out the link. When you're working on shared content, you can leave comments and mention specific names so that your internal and external stakeholders get the feedback immediately.
With thousands of Box customers using Box on their iPhones and iPads, it's important that we continue to deliver a great, mobile experience. Customers like Eli Lilly, General Electric, Burton Law LLC, Sunbelt Rentals, Schneider Electric and more use Box on iOS to get work done on the go. Whether you're a sales rep working on pitches from your iPad, a marketing executive reviewing a presentation on your phone or a lawyer approving an updated contract, the new Box for iOS makes it easier to find your content quickly, make edits and share with anyone.
Download the new Box app from the iTunes store today and stay tuned for more ways to work on the go with Box in 2017.
