Unlocking the future of content management with Box AI
Getting the right content in front of the right people at the right time is critical for any team to get things done. Whether it’s sharing brand assets, managing a project workspace, or onboarding a new vendor, effective collaboration is a big part of doing your work well.
Here at Box, we’re excited to wrap up this quarter with new features across Box AI, Box Notes, and Box Hubs that will help you do your best work. These updates have been carefully designed to address the ever-evolving needs of our customers across every company size, line of business, and industry.
Box AI updates
As we enter the era of Intelligent Content Management, using Box AI to harness the full potential of your unstructured data will improve your organization’s ability to create, collaborate, and communicate. Updates to Box AI for Documents and Box AI for Hubs aim to provide a more structured and interactive experience, allowing for deeper insights, clearer communication, and more structured responses.
Enhanced formatting options
You can now ask Box AI to deliver responses in a specific format such as a table, block quote, code, or list. Formatting the generated content in bold and italics or in the form of headings can also deliver a more organized, readable, and structured response from Box AI that’s easier to understand.
Follow-up questions
When chatting with Box AI for Documents and Box Hubs, you can now “continue the conversation” and ask follow-up questions. This allows you to drill down, uncover insights, and refine content at a level of detail a single prompt might not have been able to provide before.
Clear chat
On the flipside, you’ll also be able to reset and clear your chat with Box AI so that new questions aren’t influenced by previous responses. This feature makes it simple to ask multiple, unrelated questions all within one particular document.
Box Notes
Box Notes is a key way our users collaborate in real time, share ideas, and organize information with both co-workers and external stakeholders. Box Notes received a couple exciting updates that will make the Notes experience more productive and intelligent, while maintaining the intuitive user experience that our customers love about Notes.
Box AI Q&A for Notes
It’s supremely easy to ask Box AI to summarize, analyze, and answer questions about the latest PowerPoint deck, quarterly report, or even your HR Hub. Now, we've brought that same power to Box Notes via the new AI button in the header.
Similar to how you’ve been using Box AI for Documents and Box AI for Hubs, you can now ask Box AI questions about a Box Note and get insights instantly. This Box AI for Notes enhancement is designed to bring more intelligence to Box Notes and complement Box AI for the current text-generation capabilities.
Rich embeds for Box Notes
Box Notes now supports link previews for external links. You can easily add a preview when you paste supported links to Google Docs, Figma, Loom, and other files into a Box Note. By removing the need to open links in separate web browsers and tabs, it’s now easier for teams to collaborate within the same Box Note.
Imagine working on a project where you need to reference multiple documents or share files from various platforms. Instead of switching between different tabs or searching through your browser history for every page, you can organize the relevant links into a Box Note and instantly see a preview of the content right there with your team.
This update empowers teams to have all their essential information in one place without sacrificing productivity or collaboration. Whether it's reviewing drafts, sharing feedback, or brainstorming ideas together, everyone can stay on track within the context of the document itself.
And with preview support for hundreds of different providers and sites, regardless of your team's preferred apps or tools, you can seamlessly integrate them into a collaborative work environment within Box Notes.
Box Hubs
This quarter’s updates would not be complete without mentioning Box Hubs, which became generally available to Box Enterprise and Enterprise Plus customers in September. Box Hubs are simple, customizable portals that enable individuals and teams to curate and publish content across their enterprise. With the inclusion of new features such as external collaboration, Hubs can now be used to share content with collaborators outside your organization, too, such as agencies, vendors, and other partners.
One of the biggest benefits of Box AI for Hubs is its ability to query multiple files and quickly provide answers in a single place. With new updates like formatting support and citations, Box AI for Hubs helps users to quickly comprehend the answers and allows users to share or dive deeper into the source content through citations.
