Surface third-party app insights with the new integrations experience in Box

Your employees' ability to work seamlessly on content across applications is crucial for maximizing productivity and collaboration. That's why we're excited to announce that we have released a new integrations experience in Box that enables users to quickly discover and act on relevant information happening across their third-party applications.

Our new integrations experience surfaces the rich context of work happening around any given file, right within Box. By acting as the secure content layer beneath your tech stack, Box provides a hub for your best-of-breed applications and makes your content more valuable for users.

Surface the right apps at the right time

This new experience enables users to see a list of recommended applications from within file preview pages in Box. Apps are suggested intelligently based on a variety of factors such as the type of file being previewed, the most popular apps in the enterprise and more. From this list of recommended apps, users are then able to quickly take action in the application itself without leaving Box.

Recommended Apps in Box

By instantly surfacing the most relevant apps for a file, Box reduces the amount of effort users need to perform in order to get work done. This new feature streamlines workflows and eliminates the hassle of toggling between applications to perform common tasks. Best of all, admins have full control over what apps are recommended to ensure only approved applications are shown for users. With recommended apps, users can quickly get work done across their tech stack, no matter what app they're using.

Unify work across third-party apps

In addition to recommended apps, we've also added third-party app activity to the file activity stream as a part of the new integrations experience in Box. App activity provides a unified view of events that happen on a file across applications integrated with Box. To further accelerate efficiency, users can simply click on an update in the activity stream to jump directly to the source of the activity in the third-party app.

App Activity

App activity's aggregated contextual information helps users understand how files are being leveraged beyond Box and gives admins invaluable information on how content moves across their tech stack. We're thrilled to launch this feature with app activity support for activity in Slack, DocuSign, Salesforce and NetSuite. As we continue to enhance app activity, expect to see more partners included.

Recommended apps and app activity are now available for all Box customers. Visit the Box Community Site to learn more about Recommended Appsand App Activity.
