Reporting Live from Box World Tour Tokyo!

Today we're thrilled to host our 4th annual Box World Tour in Tokyo (BWTT).

We've brought together leaders from some of Japan’s most innovative companies to discuss how cloud content management is driving the future of work. Over 3,000 people have registered for this year's event - that's around one and a half times what we had last year - from multiple industries including: manufacturing, retail, healthcare, life sciences, and media and entertainment. At BWTT, we're also delighted to announce that we've grown our global paying customer base to 74,000 organisations, accounting for 64 percent of the Fortune 500.

Enterprises in Japan are increasingly looking for new ways to enhance collaboration and improve productivity. They are also seeking simple and secure ways to bring all of their people, information and applications together and revolutionise how they work. Robust cloud content management enables the world’s largest companies to be more connected and collaborative than ever before which leads to entirely new ways of working. We’re delighted to help some of Japan’s largest organizations, including highly regulated industries, to improve their businesses using modern technology.

Also at BWTT, we will host a customer panel with business leaders, who join Box to discuss the future of work and how modern technologies are fundamentally changing the way enterprises work around the globe.

This year's BWTT gives us the opportunity to reflect on some key milestones we've reached over the last 12 months, including the launch of Box Zones, Box KeySafe, and Governance, which are helping us to expand our business in Japan. We are also proud to update that we recently strengthened our strategic partnership with Fujitsu with them becoming an official reseller in Japan in March this year.

As we kick-off another successful BWTT, we're incredibly excited about the future of cloud content management and our role in helping Japanese businesses make the transition to a smarter, more efficient way of working.
