Work is no longer somewhere we go, rather it’s something we do. And, for this next phase of work, we need flexible, digital-first tools that allow us to collaborate with teammates either remotely or in-person, create simultaneously or asynchronously, and capture content anywhere, anytime. That’s why Box has enhanced our mobile app--so you can stay agile and put hybrid work to work for you.
We recently announced that the Box Mobile app now includes Capture Mode--the ability to take photos, video, and audio recordings using your mobile phone’s camera and add them directly to Box. Capture Mode also let’s you scan documents. With built-in optical character recognition, or OCR,scanned documents are instantly turned into searchable PDFs, and, with Box’s upcoming search suggestions functionality, you can even receive alternate suggestions for incorrectly spelled search terms to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
In addition to Capture Mode, we’ve released continuous capture so you can launch directly into camera view when opening the app. If you find yourself using the app to add multiple photos or scanned documents to Box, continuous capture will save you time and simplify your work. And, we are excited to announce that video mode is now available in continuous capture--so go ahead and launch directly into camera view and record that conference session or commencement speech, we’ve got you covered.
Finally, we’ve also added new settings that allow you to bypass the photo review screen, update photo or video quality, or store photo location data when in continuous capture. Now you can configure your Capture Mode settings to align with how you prefer to use the app, saving time and increasing productivity by reducing clicks.
