Box for Zoom: Empowering users with security and easy access to meeting recordings

Box for Zoom

In the past two years, a lot has changed about how we work – but content has remained as the single constant which permeates all that we do. Whether you’re in the office, hybrid, or fully remote, Box unifies content across your entire tech stack. Box features over 1,500+ integrations, like Box for Zoom, that help to cut costs and complexity while accelerating collaboration, allowing your team to get your work done when, where, and how you want to.

We have a strong partnership with Zoom, a leading communication and collaboration platform, and are excited to continue our shared mission of creating seamless solutions to support modern workforces and teams by announcing our latest Box for Zoom feature, meeting recording.

Save Zoom meeting recordings directly to Box with a single click

Starting today, Box and Zoom Enterprise customers can use the Box for Zoom integration to record their Zoom meetings via a simple toggle button. The recording is saved to the “My Zoom Recordings” folder within Box, allowing users to share their Zoom audio, video, and transcripts with ease. This key feature empowers admins and account owners to manage their content in one place while maintaining enterprise-grade security, compliance, and governance all within Zoom.

Showcased at Zoomtopia last week, this release delivers a more seamless end user workflow and enhances the experience for mutual Box and Zoom customers by automatically storing your recordings directly where your content lives.

"We’re thrilled to be strengthening our partnership with Box by deepening the interoperability between our two platforms,” said Arun Janakiraman, Lead Product Manager of Zoom Apps. "With these new enhancements, joint customers have the ability to record and save Zoom Meetings directly in Box, while also allowing Box to be the default content layer for all Zoom Team Chat channels. These continued updates help keep content secure, while making teamwork more streamlined and simplifying the overall experience.”

Boost user collaboration and create seamless workflows with Box for Zoom

This update culminates a successful year of innovations between Box and Zoom. Earlier this year, we launched an integration with Zoom allowing Box to be the default content layer for all of your Zoom Team Chat channels. This functionality introduced the ability to store, create, and collaborate with content directly from a Zoom Team Chat channel, all while maintaining the high level security and compliance organizations expect from Box. Those same channels are also mapped directly to Box folders making it easy to maintain your organizational folder structure across platforms and allowing users to stay organized right from Zoom.

Boost user collaboration and create seamless workflows with Box for Zoom

Both of these updates build on the existing Box for Zoom and Launch Zoom from Box integrations, which include a robust end user feature set that makes communicating with teammates easy and efficient. The integration enables colleagues to:

  • Create a seamless workflow: open meetings from Box and share Box files with a simple click
  • Securely share content: within Zoom Team Chat and Zoom meetings while maintaining security, compliance, and governance
  • Leverage cross platform compatibility: access Box files across both desktop and web platforms
  • Connect Zoom Team Chat: Map channels to Box folders to centrally manage all content
  • [New!]Box For Zoom Recording: Toggle recording to save meetings directly back to Box

Using Box for Zoom makes life and work easier for admins and security teams by providing even more ways to leverage the integration to protect and enable teams and their work.
