Simplify work with Box and Microsoft Teams

Now more than ever, global organizations are relying on apps such as Microsoft Teams to meet and get work done. That's why we launched the new Box for Teams integration this year - to help bring Box content front and center as you collaborate with colleagues and partners using Teams. Today, we're excited to announce that we've added intelligence to the integration to enable more advanced functionality and security, making it even easier to share and work on Box content directly in Teams.
Here are the latest enhancements we've made to the Box for Teams integration:
- Instant permissions- When a user shares a Box file in Teams, Box will intelligently detect the current permissions of the file and prompt the user to update them as needed. This type of easy, frictionless security ensures that the right people have the right access to Box content without slowing down work.
- Chat folder mapping - Users have the option of choosing an existing Box folder to map their Teams chats. They will still have the ability to use the folder that Box has automatically deployed for their chats for fast and easy deployment if they prefer. This new feature provides more choice and flexibility so that users can work the way they want for optimized productivity.
These enhancements to the Box for Teams integration help to automate and simplify the way you work. As always, we are always looking to improve the Box experience for you, whether you're accessing your content within Box or within your third party apps like Microsoft Teams. We are working on a lot of great new features and we can't wait to share them with you.
