Collaboration that makes the grade at EDUCAUSE 2018

EDUCAUSE 2018

At the 2018 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference next week we'll be sharing the latest updates on our cloud content management strategy and, specifically, highlighting partnership and collaborations that benefit campuses. More students, faculty, and staff than ever are collaborating securely through Box for Education and campus IT leadership and administrators are increasingly being asked to support complex use cases that require integrated solutions.

Content Workflows with Canon and Other Partners

At our booth #640, we'll be highlighting the ways that cloud content management can help the higher education community as well as featuring the ways that Box enables and partners with other best-of-breed solutions. Canon will be showcasing their capabilities including the intelligent capture, transmission, security, collaboration, and output of academic, personal and institutional information. We will be highlighting Canon's robust solutions, such as the uniFLOW platform, and some of their additional partner integrations such as mxHERO.

We'll also showcase the the DocuSign for Box integration, which enables users to pull documents from Box, send them securely with DocuSign to collect information, payments and signatures, and then automatically save those documents back to Box. Documents stay fully digital, resulting in more efficiency for faculty, staff, and students as well as enhanced security and compliance.

Carahsoft Facilitates Internet2 Contract Migrations

In addition to their own booth and events at the conference, Carahsoft staff will be available in the Box booth #640 to discuss the ways in which they help campuses select and procure best-of-breed cloud services. Carahsoft is already working with many campuses that have existing Box deployments through Internet2 and are migrating to the current version of the Box higher ed contract. They are engaging with the community and Box Higher Ed Advisory Board as well as aggregating community feedback on the new contract.

Conference Session on Campus-Vendor Partnership "Best Practices"

We're also very pleased to join a session organized by IT strategists from UC Berkeley and UNC Greensboro focuses best practices for colleges and universities to engage with cloud services providers. The session, "It Takes Two to...Make Vendor Partnerships Work for You," will take place Thursday, November 1, 9:45 to 10:30am, in the Learning Theater in the Exhibit Hall. We will cover some product aspects of the Box and Google partnership, including the recent announcements about G Suite and Gmail integrations, however, the focus of the session will be on perspectives, tips, and lessons learned regarding the most effective ways to most effectively engage, communicate, and build true partnerships with their vendors.

Higher Ed Community Reception

During the conference, we're also excited to sponsor a reception (with our partners Canon and DocuSign) on Wednesday October 31. This is an ideal opportunity to hear from your peers and colleagues, as well as community partners, about their experiences delivering innovative IT solutions to their students, faculty, and staff, while contending with a constant barrage of security threats and compliance requirements, shrinking budgets, and increasingly complex use cases. Space is limited so please register here
