Collaborate smarter with the new Box Files Viewer for Quip
At Box, one of our main goals has always been to empower organizations to build a modern cloud stack of their choice by creating a unified content experience across industry-leading tools and applications. That's why we're incredibly excited to announce our new Live App for Quip. Available later this month on the Salesforce AppExchange, Box Files Viewer empowers organizations to collaborate on key content more effectively within Quip.
Since 2009, Box has worked to provide integrations that allow thousands of organizations to access and manage their Box content from within Salesforce. With the new Box Files Viewer for Quip, joint customers will have even more ways to collaborate within Quip.
Quip, a productivity platform for consolidating teams' work and communication, has quickly become a leading solution used by companies of all sizes. Teams across organizations use Quip documents to manage projects, track business plans and structure critical internal information. The Box team is thrilled to be collaborating with Quip to bring more dynamic content into the document experience.

With the Box Files Viewer Live App, users will be able to embed specific Box files and folders directly into Quip documents to accelerate collaboration. This means hundreds of popular file types stored in Box, such as PDF and PPT, can be previewed directly within your Quip documents. By extending your critical files into Quip, your team can make Quip your collaboration hub while keeping your content centralized and secured in Box.
When designing our Box Files Viewer Live App, we made content security and permissions one of our top priorities. All of the files and folders you embed within Quip will maintain the same permissions that are set for them within Box. Users will only see the files that they have access to in Box, even if they have access to the Quip document where files are embedded. As always, your content stored in Box will continue to be protected by our native security, compliance and governance capabilities.
We're also excited to announce that our Chief Product Officer, Jeetu Patel, will be on stage this year at Dreamforce to discuss the integration and partnership at the Quip keynote. Stay tuned for more news!
