Box Previews the Future of Work with Apple at WWDC
At Box, we are laser focused on building the world's best cloud content platform, where all of an organization's most important business information can be secured, managed and collaborated on in real time. To be that central platform for our 74,000 customers and over 64% of the Fortune 500, it is incredibly important that we deliver amazing experiences across all devices and productivity tools. Today at WWDC, Apple announced iOS 11, bringing several updates to iPhone and iPad this fall, including the new Files app.
The new Files app is a way for Apple users to manage their content no matter where files are stored (Box, iCloud, on device, etc.). Box is delivering a seamless integration with the new Files app to enhance the file management experience across iOS and make it incredibly easy for customers to access their Box content from any iOS device.
This integration allows Box and Apple customers to use services of their choice seamlessly, without interrupting workflows between Apple devices, securely and in one place. Check out the onstage demo from today's WWDC Keynote here.
Building an Open and Seamless Enterprise Experience to Power the Future of Work
These are the latest advancements in our ongoing work to develop seamless experiences between Box and Apple solutions for joint customers. We've built Box Capture, an iOS app that makes it easy to share field information with anyone, as well as a brand new Box experience for iPad and iPhone.
Today's workplace is about openness and choice - employees are working from a variety of locations and on a variety of devices. Organizations are selecting best-of-breed technologies to fit the unique business needs of their teams. But these solutions don't come from the same vendors - organizations are using Office 365 and G Suite for holistic productivity and collaboration, Salesforce for CRM, Workday for HCM, Oracle for ERP, ServiceNow for service management and iOS devices and Mac to get work done from anywhere. To make organizations successful, these technologies must work together seamlessly.
At Box, we’re driving openness in the enterprise, and we're dedicated to providing an integrated and consistent experience where best-of-breed apps and services effortlessly work together. That's why Box builds integrations with thousands of applications that let you share, edit, manage, analyze and collaborate with all types of data. And now we're excited to advance our work with Apple to drive seamless integration between customer applications and preferences. Stay tuned for future updates about Box and Apple!
