Adobe Express is now the default image editor in Box, including support for Adobe Firefly capabilities

That’s why we’re excited to announce a new strategic partnership with Adobe Express that will enable millions of users to create and edit images directly from Box.
Adobe Express will be generally available as the default image editor in Box, empowering every Box user to easily create more engaging content without ever leaving Box. As the default image editor, Adobe Express for Box will bring its powerful suite of image editing and the commercially safe generative AI capabilities of Adobe Firefly directly to content managed in Box.
Box customers will be able to get started with Adobe Express image editing capabilities directly in Box for no additional fee and without needing to sign up for a separate Adobe Express plan. That means millions of Box users will be able to edit images with Adobe Express directly within their Box workflows – saving time and reducing content sprawl and risk.
Introducing Adobe Express for Box
Box and Adobe have partnered to bring intelligent, intuitive collaboration to joint customers across the Adobe Document and Experience Clouds. Joint customers will leverage Adobe’s best-in-class creative tools directly in Box - without having to pay for additional licenses. Simply log-in to Box, and open an image with Adobe Express.
Edit and enhance images
Users will have the ability to open an image directly in Box using Adobe Express and access simple editing tools such as cropping, resizing, various visual filters, and opacity adjustments. After creating an Adobe account, users can remove distracting objects and backgrounds, or add in new objects with a simple text prompt using Firefly’s generative AI.
Once you’re done editing, the new image will be automatically updated in Box, ensuring user content remains secure at every step in the process.
Seamlessly creative
“Around 40 percent of all files stored in Box are visual content — and now anyone from beginners to experienced designers will be able to securely create and transform content with Adobe Express,” said Ketan Kittur, Vice President of Product Management, Platform and Integrations at Box. “Enabling Adobe Express as the default image editor for the Box Intelligent Content Management platform means our customers can bring their ideas to life faster than ever before with industry-leading creative tools and AI designed to be safe for business.”

- Generate new images using Adobe Firefly and its commercially safe AI by describing your desired visual or referencing an image, then refining its style, size, and format to suit your needs;
- Edit video files in Box with Adobe Express, including capabilities like trimming videos, converting to GIF, and adding captions.

Get work done securely and seamlessly with Box and the Adobe suite

The new Adobe Express integration for Box will help teams accelerate and streamline their content creation workflows. It creates a more efficient, collaborative, and secure environment to edit, manage, and share professional-looking visual content — combining the organizational strength of Box with the creative capabilities of Adobe Express.
