BoxWorks: Working with IBM to Deliver Powerful New Solutions

Just three months after announcing our global partnership with IBM, we're excited to share four integrated solutions at BoxWorks.

Collectively, these technologies are an important step toward solving longstanding challenges that businesses across every industry face. Companies want to modernize and go digital, but content silos and dated architecture are holding them back. The full potential of their workforce, partners and processes remains untapped, hindering innovation and transformation. Together with IBM, we're developing a portfolio of solutions that address these challenges and power the next generation of enterprise content management and collaboration.

  • IBM StoredIQ with Box can accelerate a transition to the cloud and is available today! With this integration, joint customers can migrate existing on-premise content to the cloud using intelligent classification. This solution will address challenges many enterprises face in compliance, records management, eDiscovery, storage optimization and data migration initiatives. Providing an in-depth assessment of unstructured data wherever it resides gives organizations the ability to embrace data cleanup with confidence: With greater visibility, companies can make more informed business and legal decisions.
  • IBM Content Navigator with Box is another exciting new solution available today, allowing mutual customers to shape the content experience for both their desktop and mobile ECM solutions. Individuals will be able to search for content across on-premise and Box environments with a single integrated view, providing a collaborative content experience for improved insight, productivity and control for all content, enterprise-wide.
  • IBM Case Manager with Box, available later this year, will empower our mutual customers to streamline advanced business workflows across all necessary parties. Many businesses today have case management systems that can't efficiently and easily engage their extended networks of customers, suppliers and partners, who are increasingly crucial as value chains become more distributed. Instead, IBM Case Manager with Box will allow external participants to provide content or receive outcomes on any device through Box, while internal participants can remain in a case environment. Seamless end-to-end collaboration on content can empower knowledge workers, increase customer satisfaction, and optimize outcomes.
  • IBM Datacap with Box will help drive powerful workflows, starting at a document's point of origin, and will be available later in 2015. Joint customers can capture and digitize content, such as hard copies or faxes, take out the useful information, and store it in Box. With the right content in digital form, Box and IBM customers can reduce the cost and delays of manual document processing, derive and share insights more quickly, and enable organizations to benefit from the cloud sooner, and more easily.

With these initial four solutions, Box and IBM are helping leading enterprises across a range of industries become more digital. This is just the beginning.
