Culture and values are paramount to our success as a company

Building a diverse and inclusive culture is a top priority for Box and is critical to our success as a company. Our employee-led communities (ERGs) are a critical part of this and make a huge impact on how our organization works together. The ERG mission is to support and engage all Boxers, help Box achieve critical business goals, and serve as allies to the community at large. The 11 ERGs at Box, Box Women's Network, Black Excellence Network, LatinX, Pride (just to name a few), take pride in celebrating our differences at Box and make sure that diversity and inclusion are core to our culture. They have all played a key part in establishing our company culture where everyone feels at home.

Our values also challenge us to leave a lasting, positive imprint on the community at large. We have an intrinsic desire to do the right thing and be champions for others. Box.org, our social impact initiative, grew organically from Boxers coming together to put on various volunteer events in a grassroots effort. Eventually, the program solidified into a formal organization that encourages a volunteering spirit at Box while enabling nonprofits to innovate and fulfill their mission. Through Box.org, we recently held our first Global Holiday Impact day - where more than 1,350 Boxers around the world volunteered over 4,000 hours. Box.org also recently worked with Team4Tech to send group of Boxers to Cambodia to support CARE Cambodia.

Supporting Boxers and Their Families

Box supports Boxers through both their day-to-day lives at work as well as in their personal lives. Over the last couple years, we have been focusing on expanding our benefits to meet the changing needs of Boxers because we care about our whole Boxers, which extends to families and want to help them live their best lives.  We know healthcare is expensive and that is why Box covers 85 percent of the total cost of health care. We love our mini-Boxers too! The Parental Leave policy is 100 percent paid for any Boxer welcoming a new child into their family through birth, adoption, or foster care placement. The benefit is 12 weeks of paid bonding leave for all new parents. Birth moms also receive an additional 8 weeks off paid at 100 percent giving them 20 weeks of pay at 100%. In addition to our Parental Leave policy, we also partner with Cleo and Chairman Mom to provide resources and parenting advice to new and expecting parents and MilkStork for any traveling moms.
