Spotlight on the New Box Partner Network

At Box, we’re focused on making it dead simple to access and share all your important files from everywhere you work, including other business applications. That’s why, late last year, we introduced Box Embed, an HTML5 embeddable framework that brings the entire Box experience – including commenting, Box Edit, drag-and-drop uploading and more features you love – into any app, website, blog or intranet. By helping users find and share content from Box without having to leave the application in which they’re already working, Box Embed is a solid tool that we think will help keep businesses aligned and productive.

Box Embed and the partners that signed on at BoxWorks to leverage it in their apps (including Box for Oracle Fusion and Box for Zendesk, which are going live today!) are just one example of our focus on building a strong partner ecosystem. In fact, today we’re announcing the new Box Partner Network, an ecosystem of strategic alliance and software, channel, and platform partners that will help us expand to new markets and deliver even more awesome tools like Box Embed to our 15 million users and 150,000 businesses of all sizes.

So why is the Box Partner Network so important? The main reason: partners help us bring cloud content management and sharing to every company, no matter what size or industry. Through our software integrations, the extensive customer base of our reseller partners and the reach of developers, it will be easier than ever for businesses to discover and deploy Box.

As part of today’s news, we’re excited to share 10 new software integration partnerships. New partners AtTask, Autodesk, Marketo and Xero will be integrating directly with Box in the coming months by leveraging our APIs. Clarizen, CollabNet, Fonality, IBM Connections, TIBCO’s tibbr and Tidemark will leverage Box Embed to provide the entire Box experience within their applications. For example, the integrations of Box with IBM Connections (available today) and TIBCO’s tibbr allow coworkers to leverage their Box files directly within those collaboration environments. That means it’s easier for users to work together and discuss feedback on important content, and no one has to leave the social business applications to get things done. Stay tuned over the next few months, as we add even more integrations to help you be more productive from anywhere!

In addition to the software integrations, we’ve also added 50 new reseller partnerships globally in the past few months, including industry leaders Insight, Forsythe, SoftChoice, CDW, Ingram Micro, and more. And we’re working with hundreds of new referral partners that sign up every day to send Box leads for a commission. These resellers and referral partners are helping us reach new types of businesses around the world.

Finally, in the last year, we’ve doubled the number of apps available in our marketplace, working with the 17,000+ developers that are taking advantage of our new v2 API and the Box Platform to create custom applications that play well with your content on Box. The results? Better productivity apps that help you get work done easier.

We’re proud that Box is able to partner with the best in order to provide an amazing user experience for our customers, no matter where they access their important content. We’d love to hear about your favorite apps that we should partner with, and if you’re already using some of our integrations, let us know what you think!
