Box Zooms to the Front of the Mobile Collaboration Wave

We're very excited to announce that Box is a leader in mobile collaboration. With a mobile workforce trained on Angry Birds, Flipboard and Google Maps, user expectations for mobile collaboration at work are sky high. Meeting workers' demands is a tough job, but at Box, we're always up for a challenge.

Going mobile with Box can truly transform a business – to date, we've seen an increase of over 600% in mobile customer implementations compared to all of 2010. Companies such as Pandora, TaylorMade, Clear Channel and Six Flags are successfully building collaborative mobile workforces and realizing the benefits of Box's mobile solution – which saves a typical company over 3,000 hours a month. And It doesn't look like mobile is slowing down any time soon. Excited users have downloaded our mobile apps more than 500,000 times, with our webOS app hitting 10,000 downloads within the first month it was released.

With all this excitement around mobility, it's no surprise that Forrester – a leading research firm – decided to find the top vendors committed to delivering a great mobile experience.

The 13 vendors (Adobe, AT&T, Box, Cisco, Citrix, Dropbox, Evernote, Google, IBM,, Skype, SugarSync, and Yammer) that made it into the Wave(1) have the most mindshare among Forrester's clients when it comes to mobile collaboration. All these vendors have proven collaboration solutions optimized for mobile platforms that deliver a great user experience, which allows today's professionals to be much more productive on-the-go.

Right now, 41% of the information workforce is already highly mobile(2), and 62% of information workers already work an hour or more per day with documents, reports or other information on-the-go(3). It's clear that mobile collaboration is here to stay, so in order to avoid being left behind, enterprises need to start thinking strategically about how to best enable mobility in their organization
