AstraZeneca Chooses Box to Power Content Collaboration for All Employees

Today we're thrilled to welcome AstraZeneca to the Box family. The global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical company is standardizing on Box’s content sharing and collaboration platform across its workforce, which totals 51,000 employees spanning more than 100 countries. Like many of its industry peers, AstraZeneca has chosen Box to power secure collaboration from any device for the company's globally dispersed workforce and also with external parties.

At Box, we're extremely excited about transforming the way people and businesses work with information in the life sciences sector. We strive to help customers like Boston Scientific, Eli Lilly, Jazz Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca confidently embrace collaboration and mobility by coupling an intuitive end-user experience with robust admin controls to securely manage critical information at scale.

“Technology is a key driver of innovation at AstraZeneca, and collaboration and mobility are two initiatives at the forefront of our strategy,” said David Smoley, CIO at AstraZeneca. “Box has become the industry standard in this space and we’ve chosen it to continue our drive toward efficiency, security and simplicity for all our employees.”

AstraZeneca focuses on creating environments that enable productivity through secure, user-friendly tools. Its deployment of new collaborative technology is part of the company’s larger strategy to be a leader in the pharmaceutical space. Additionally, AstraZeneca has agreed to join our customer advisory board, and will bring its unique perspective to help guide new technology development at Box.

We're excited to be working with AstraZeneca, the latest in a growing list of global leaders who have moved to Box, including BG Group, General Electric, Anglo American, and Schneider Electric.
