Today we're incredibly excited to share that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has selected Box to deliver file sharing and information management to the agency’s workforce, increasing productivity and improving mission outcomes. After rigorous assessment, Box will also receive an agency Authorization to Operate this week, allowing DOJ to leverage the Box platform across all its component agencies.
There is an increasing need to securely connect and enable processes across agencies and jurisdictions as well as to connect government employees with their data, content, and stakeholders. Innovative government agencies, like DOJ, are deeply committed to leveraging emerging cloud technologies to better serve the American people, while ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive information.
DOJ is leveraging Box to improve the effectiveness and impact of its mission and put valuable information at their staff’s fingertips. More specifically, DOJ selected Box to simplify internal and external collaboration with key stakeholders and third party organizations and support mobile and offline access to critical business information for employees regardless of location. Additionally, with Box, DOJ is able to eliminate fragmented content and document management tools, reducing infrastructure complexity.
At Box, we're excited to be bringing our technology to the government. Agencies and departments servicing healthcare, military, educational, judicial, legislative and regulatory components of in the U.S. Federal Government are using Box today. To help lead our efforts in the Federal Government, we recently brought on Sonny Hashmi, former chief information officer for the U.S. General Services Administration and announced that we’re pursuing FedRAMP compliance to make it as easy as possible for federal agencies to deploy Box at scale.
We look forward to fostering greater innovation at DOJ, helping to transform the way they manage and share information.
