More Mobile Magic: Updates to Box for iOS and Android

By

We recently expanded our mobile app suite to include Box for Windows Phone, but we’ve also been hard at work making sure our apps on iOS and Android have all the latest features, too. In addition to minor fixes and enhancements across both platforms, these updates introduce two simple but very useful features:

Batch actions for Android (including move & copy!)

Long press on an item to activate multiple select – or just choose “Multiple select” from the Action Bar. Then tap to choose as many files and folders as you want to move, copy or delete. Perfect when you want to consolidate content into one folder or do a little cleanup in your account while on the go.

Download the app here to start sharing and managing your content on the go.

Easily export images on iOS

You can already preview your photos right from Box for iPhone and iPad, but now you can do more: Just select “Save to Library” from the file info page to export your photos to your device’s library. With this enhancement, you’ll be able to use your documents and photos with Apple’s native apps.

Download the app here to start doing more with your photos, today.

We’ll have more mobile updates coming your way in the near future, so keep your eyes on the blog or @BoxHQ to hear the news before anyone else!

When will iOS get the ability to move files?

Our team’s definitely working on it! Unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA right now. Thank you for the feedback.
