Box Simplifies and Secures the Enterprise

By

A core tenant of making the enterprise hum is mobility – tapping into information from countless applications, smartphones and tablets. Just a few years ago, cross-platform data access outside the safety of a corporate firewall was an afterthought – a minor threat that CIOs stamped out with strict security policies that locked down devices and stripped out unsanctioned software. With the introduction of the iPhone, iPad and Android-powered devices, a transformation is underway in the enterprise. Today’s knowledge workers are trading in their legacy software “suite” and desktop PCs for tools that are more familiar, flexible and affordable.

Fortunately, Box is helping CIOs make the transition to the next generation enterprise. We’re aiming to make business collaboration incredibly secure without sacrificing the flexibility and freedom today’s workers require to be successful at their jobs. Today, we’re introducing new security features and several new partnerships that make it even easier for you to access business-critical data across devices, while providing IT admins with greater security controls over data access.

Box Advanced Security Reports
We’ve increased functionality of the Box Admin console with major enhancements to our reports feature. Admins have new activity monitoring and tracking capabilities that extend the visibility and control of content on Box. With more comprehensive insight into how, when and where users collaborate on Box, administrators can quickly and easily assess accounts for potential vulnerabilities and optimize security settings.

New Partnerships – HP, Enterproid, Good & Cloud Security Alliance
Additionally, we’re expanding our ecosystem of partnerships with deep security integrations to ensure that collaboration across teams is secure while working from mobile platforms like Android and iOS, as well as when sharing data from within the corporate network.

HP: Box has joined the HP Enterprise Security Cloud Connections Partner Program to enable greater control and visibility of user activity inside the Box platform. Enterprise businesses running the HP ArcSight ESM platform can define granular governance policies and set advanced security alerts across the network for a centralized view of user activity.

Enterproid: Box has partnered with Enterproid to become the default cloud file system for Enterproid’s Divide platform. Enterproid and Box make it simple for mobile business workers to manage their personal and professional lives from one device with the security permissions that IT admins can easily manage.

Good Technology: Box and Good Technology now empower secure business collaboration from any iPhone or iPad device. Leveraging Good Dynamics, Box has built a custom version of its Box mobile application for iOS, enabling a secure and cost-effective platform for end-to-end access to businesses most important content from any iOS enabled device.

Cloud Security Alliance: Box has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote and educate best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing.

Enterprise security has always been core to the Box platform. We understand just how important the information you store, access and share with others can be and we’re constantly focused on making your collaboration experience as secure as possible.
