App Spotlight: Box for iPhone

By

Happy Monday, all! Today, I’d like to provide a brief refresher on one of our most popular apps, Box for the iPhone. We have a few top-secret announcements coming up, so if you haven’t downloaded the it yet, now’s a great time – especially if you’ve already preordered a shiny new iPhone 4S;). The app makes on-the-go collaboration incredibly easy, and here’s a rundown of some of the nifty things you can do with it:

  • Scroll through and view all the files and folders in your account. For viewing, the Box app supports all file types supported by the iPhone, which include Microsoft Office files, PDFs, photos, audio and video.
  • Share individual files or entire folders of files with any of your iPhone contacts
  • Monitor updates to your account, such as files or folders you add or ones from people collaborating with you on Box
  • Save files for offline access so that you can read them on the plane or share them at a meeting without worrying about internet connectivity

Just think of all the sharing and collaboration possibilities you’ll have right at your fingertips.Waiting in line somewhere (like, say, the airport)? Just whip out your phone to comment on files and preview updates before your trip. And if you’re worried about having a connection during the flight, just save your content for offline access so you can view it at your leisure.

Give it a try today and let us know what you think. Remember to check back soon for some big iPhone news!

please could you update the iphone app to let us batch upload photos? It would be awesome to be able to do it the way dropbox does it (upload all), or at least like sugarsync (multiple selection). I’m sure you’ll make many many people happy! :)

I can’t save my email attachments to Box unlike Dropbox and Evernote. The app is ok and fast, very flexible, fast upload and fast browse. The main problem is that email attachments can not be uploaded to Box. Is there any solution for this matter??
