Fuze Box Turns to the Cloud to Solve Their SharePoint Blues

By , Social Media Manager

Fuze Box is no stranger to collaboration – in fact, enabling lightning-fast communication between people all across the world is what they do. They’re focused on creating an awesome communication platform for their customers, which includes everything from mobile instant messaging to high-definition video meetings. That’s why they were so bummed about using a clunky solution to share files – as their CMO Patrick Moran recalls, the joke in the office was that SharePoint is where “documents go to die”. Yikes.

Fuze Box is always looking for more ways to connect their global teams to home base in SF, and Box fit the bill perfectly. One of the biggest issues they had was trying to collaborate with people outside of the company firewall. With SharePoint, all users had to be within the same firewall to collaborate – for a company with outside contractors, this was an impossible hurdle to overcome. That was until they started using Box.

Box solved all of Fuze Box’s problems immediately while opening up an entirely new, exciting way to share files. As Moran says, what starts as “I’m sending you a file” in Box quickly becomes a full-blown collaboration experience. Watch the video below to hear firsthand how Box solved Fuze Box’s SharePoint woes:

Has your business said “no” to clunky solutions and “yes” to the cloud? Let us know at customers@box.net or on Twitter @boxdotnet – we’d love to hear about it.
