Thought 2010 Was Great? You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet

By

The past 12 months have been crazy awesome for everyone here at Box. All told, we released 3 different mobile apps for you to access Box on the go, added more than 20 features and were even ranked no. 152 on the Inc. 500. In addition to all of the updates and new features we’ve added to Box, we hit some major customer and technical milestones that we’re really proud of.

Box saw major customer growth, with our enterprise revenue more than tripling compared to 2009 and our user base increasing from 4 million to a whopping 5 million. Even cooler, some of our customers are using Box’s mobile apps to ensure that their teams stay productive while on the go. For example, TaylorMade’s remote sales teams use Box on the iPad to access and present the latest product information when visiting clients. Box is also proud to say that 73% of the Fortune 500 uses our service to share, collaborate and manage their content. From Yammer to ABC News and The San Francisco Giants (go team!), Box customers are coming in from every industry, and we’re happy to say that we love them all equally! :)

On the technical side, we secured our SAS70 II certification, an internationally recognized standard for measuring data integrity and security. Box has also become more integrated than ever, allowing our users to connect their Box account to Google Apps, NetSuite and SugarCRM, among others. Suffice it to say, our developers are already pumped for all the great integrations coming in 2011 and beyond.

We’re really excited about the year ahead, especially since we have some pretty big announcements coming in just 7 days! Read the full release for all the details on our last 12 months, and be sure to follow us on twitter @boxdotnet to get breaking news on all the big #newbox developments coming this week. For now, we’ll just say that 2011 will be more awesome, more fun and even more epic than anything we’ve done before.
