Create a simple wiki-Like Document with Web Documents

By

We asked Box users what they wanted (using the new Discussions feature, of course) and a few days ago Christian wrote, “I would like to have a ‘add note’ or document, maybe a wiki-style document editor.”

Presto! We just rolled out Web Documents, a new collaboration tool which lets you create simple wiki-like documents right inside Box. Just click the new “Web Doc” button, which is located next to the “New Folder” button to get started. Besides formatting text with a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor, you can embed links, import images and even insert and edit the HTML code if you want to get really creative.

Any Web Document you create within a shared folder is automatically shared with everyone collaborating within that folder. This makes it easy to quickly share and collaborate on your ideas – no need to send addition emails to invite your team to view and edit.

Enjoy and let us know what you think.
